The Book of Freckles
It happened 16 years later—at this moment, on the 1st of January 2025. Freckles, the book, is finally here.
I began this project in 2009, captivated by the unique beauty of freckled women. Those dark spots, sprinkled by the angels, made them special—to me, at least, which is all that matters.
These women, especially those adorned by nature, became one of the most important expressions of female beauty and have always inspired my work.
Freckles came to life after I worked with several models and discovered, to my surprise, that many did not appreciate their birth trademarks, often concealing them with makeup.
I thought it was a crime, and I was determined to stop it. I made it my mission to challenge this terrible misconception and help these women recognize the incredible beauty of the delicate patterns nature had gifted them.
Through this work, I wanted to offer the world a celebration of these gracefully decorated faces and bodies.
After photographing over 30 volunteers in Brazil, the project gained recognition through exhibitions, captivating audiences with its message of embracing natural beauty.
Despite this success, it had never been immortalized in the pages of a photo book.
Until now.
Enjoy Freckles. Now out on Amazon (USA store) and as an instant downloadable E-book. 70 pages. 30 models. Infinite Freckles.
By the way, if you were a model photographed for this project and we lost contact (it’s been 16 years!), please reach out, and I will get you a free e-book.
2025 will be great. Have a wonderful year, my friend.
